- Sadio Mane has finally won the prestigious English Premier League with Liverpool
-The Reds were handed the coveted trophy moments after their 5-3 victory over Chelsea at Anfield
- Chelsea manager Frank Lampard was seen congratulating the Senegalese international
Sadio Mane received a hug as well as a congratulatory message from the Chelsea manager Frank Lampard moments after the Reds lifted the prestigious English Premier League trophy.
While the Senegalese international was celebrating the glory first time in the club’s history after beating the London side 5-3, Lampard joined-in to have a selfie.
In a footage which has now gone viral on social media, Mane was captured walking down the tunnel of the club’s home ground when he calls out to the Chelsea boss.
But just before he goes, the Englishman taps the Reds’ forward on the chest before saying: “Congratulations.”
The competition is arguably the most watched football competition in Europe and many other parts of the world considering the excitement in the championship.
Chelsea are already one leg out of this season's Champions League after losing at home against Bayern Munich in the first leg of their round of 16 duel.
The Blues are working hard to make sure they finish among the top four this season so as for them to campaign in Europe next term.
But according to the report on Daily Mail, Frank Lampard feels it won't be a failure if Chelsea fail to make it to Europe next term.
''I desperately hope we get there, but for me it shouldn't put this club off its stride much because there were a lot of testing moments this year. We've shown intentions of moving in the right direction,'' Lampard explained.
