- Marc-Andre ter Stegen could be between the sticks at the Stamford Bridge next season
- Frank Lampard is currently in the transfer market for the Barcelona goalkeeper
- The Blues’ are ready to offer goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as part of the transfer deal
Marc-Andre ter Stegen has become a transfer target for Chelsea football club of England as Frank Lampard is prepared to splash cash and offer Kepa Arrizabalaga as part of the transfer deal.
The Blues’ boss is in the transfer market and will do everything to land the Barcelona number one goalkeeper at the Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.
Following recent blunders, £71million-rated Arrizabalaga has been considered not good enough and now reports have it that Lampard has an uphill battle to secure ter Stegen’s signature.
It was gathered that Barcelona who have been affected financially due to the initial lockdown will be hoping to sell a few of their stars to raise funds this summer, but they claim the goalkeeper is not for sale.
Ter Stegen’s contract with the Catalan club expires in the summer of 2023, it was gathered that the La Liga club are already negotiating with him to further his deal.
Chelsea are happy that despite the ongoing talks between the goalkeeper and the club, the German goalie is yet to put pen to paper.
And they will attempt to lure ter Stegen to Stamford Bridge by sending Arrizabalaga in the opposite direction.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola appears to have stirred up reactions among football fans after buying a house in London amid Chelsea transfer link.
The Blues are not satisfied with the services of their current shot-stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga and are already looking for a replacement for the Spaniard.
He has made 40 appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit across competitions this campaign - conceding 53 goals and kept just 10 clean sheets in the process.
Frank Lampard is, however, growing impatience with Kepa's many errors and has named a few targets including Jan Oblak of Atletico Madrid and Dean Henderson, Manchester United star currently on loan at Sheffield United.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly been told by Spanish side Atletico Madrid that they will have to pay massive sum of £110 million for them to have goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
The 27-year-old Slovenian goalie is rated among the best goalkeepers in Europe considering his superb performances for Atletico Madrid during the 2019/20 La Liga season.
