A number of Nigerians seem to be used to harassment and they cope with such situations by finding the humour in it.
Just recently, a video made the rounds on social media of a couple who were saying their vows in the presence of an officiating minister.
The couple had burst into laughter after the minister placed great emphasis on the groom forsaking all other women and all other girlfriends.
The laughter seemed to greatly annoy the minister and he resorted to snapping at the groom and also scolding him, talking about how he was not there to play and that if the groom had any girlfriends that were causing his laughter, then he would stop the wedding.

According to her, the groom is a complete gentleman and that sort of harassment should not be tolerated. She also said that the family did not see the humour in the way things played out with the minister.
Explaining further, Temi said that dignitaries were even present at the event including the governor of Bayelsa state, Duoye Diri.
