A 59-year-old woman, Rene Grimes, has shown that age is really not a factor in achieving one's dream.

The woman passed her doctorate defense on Tuesday, July 14, before she went ahead to bag a PhD. Rene said she had to grow up with her single mom in government housing.

She said that though she wanted her mom to achieve the same thing, life, unfortunately, dealt her big blows. Rene added that their mom taught them they could achieve even the most difficult things.
