My pregnant daughter died with her twins at FMC Abeokuta - Nigerian dad laments

A Nigerian man identified as Babajide Olayemi, has called for justice after his pregnant daughter died with her unborn set of twins at the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, in June 2020.

Olayemi said his daughter Josephine Olayemi Odufowora was never attended to for 24 hours despite the fact that she was in pain and needed urgent attention, The Nation reports.

Legit.ng gathers that the father wants the minister of health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, to use his “offices to investigate into the circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased and ensure all culpable persons are held accountable”.

According to the father, the set of twins in his daughter's womb died and needed to be taken out but the hospital was negligent.

The hospital, however, denied the allegations in a statement releases by its head of public relations and information, Segun Orisajo.

The hospital said the late Josephine discharged herself from the Centre against medical advice while her treatment was fully on course.

The hospital added that Joseph was given the best of medical care and services available at its disposal.

In other news, a video has emerged online in which a Nigerian man who labelled his wife a witch and sent her packing could be seen on his knees begging for her forgiveness in the presence of a pastor.

In the video which has gone viral on social media, the man could be seen kneeling down for the woman in question to forgive her.

The pastor could also be seen begging the woman to forgive her husband, saying God has vindicated her.
