Manchester United midfield sensation Bruno Fernandes has named countryman Cristiano Ronaldo in his seven-man dream team.
The 25-year-old joined the Red Devils from Sporting CP in a deal around €55 million and he revealed that he spoke with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner before agreeing to the deal.
Since his dream move in January 2020, the midfielder became an instant hit for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team - helping them contend for Champions League spot.
Fernandes has scored seven goals and seven assists in 12 Premier League appearances in the second half of this campaign - making him one of the top stars at the club.
Legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon is in goal and his leadership role qualifies to be in the team as reported by SunSport.
FIFA 2018 World Cup winner N'golo Kante was selected in Fernandes' dream team owing to his excellent work rate. The midfielder won Premier League back-to-back with different clubs.
Football icons Andres Iniesta, Andrea Pirlo, Marcus Rashford, Ronaldo and Bas Dost complete the formidable squad.
Fernandes said: “I think he changed his game a little bit, but he’s still a player who is really difficult one against one to defend against.
“For me, for everyone I have played with and against, I think he is the most skilful player I have ever seen.”
The United midfielder "Rashford, I think he can have amazing pace but with amazing quality,
“It is difficult sometimes going at that velocity and still have the quality to do the right things – the right time to shoot, to pass, the skills.
“He surprised me a lot. Of course I already knew his quality because he is one of the best young players in the world.”
Eintracht Frankfurt's forward Bas Dost came out trumps for his finishing ability, having enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Fernandes at Sporting Lisbon.
Fernandes continued: "Kante is everywhere. He can press the keeper, midfield and strikers, "That guy comes out from everywhere."
Legit.ng earlier reported that Bruno Fernandes followed the footpath of his team-mate in the Portuguese national team, Cristiano Ronaldo, by joining English Premier League club Manchester United.
The 25-year-old switched to the Old Trafford club from Sporting Lisbon in January and has once again said Ronaldo is the best player in the world having a slight edge over Argentina’s Lionel Messi, adding that he never saw Pele play.
Fernandes has been quite impressive since his arrival at the Old Trafford club scoring four goals and making another four assists.
