Currently trending on social media is the news of the arrest of a 22-year-old man identified as Kenneth Gift who was recently arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), for alleged internet fraud.
According to reports shared to the Commission's official Instagram page, the University of Port Harcourt computer science undergraduate was arrested alongside his mother, Dorah Aninah and his girlfriend, Dandy Spice.
The report states that items recovered from them at the point of arrest in Delta state include a 5-bedroom duplex, Mercedes-Benz CA250, Mercedes-Benz C250, Mercedes Benz GLK 350, laptop computers and mobile phones.

"Their arrest was sequel to a petition from the US Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, and intelligence by operatives of the Commission," part of the report reads.
The Commission further stated that the suspects have made 'useful statements' and will be charged to court as soon investigations are complete.

Meanwhile, social media celebrity and skit maker Adedamola Adewale Rukayat Adeherself is set to regain her freedom from the custody of EFCC after she was picked up some weeks ago over an alleged internet fraud case.
The skit-maker who received backlash on social media following her alleged involvement in internet scam was recently granted bail at the sum of N500k by an Ikeja special offence court.
In a similar story, Olalekan Ponle, popularly called Woodberry, has employed the services of another top Chicago's lawyer, Michael Nash, to defend him in court, Premium Times reports. Woodberry was arrested alongside Hushpuppi for alleged multi-million dollar fraud.
The Nigerian big boy is currently held in the United States of America. The 29-year-old seemed to have taken the footsteps of his partner in crime, Hushpuppi, who also employed the services of a top Chicago lawyer to defend him in court.
