Cristiano Ronaldo was missing on the scores sheet as Juventus were held to 3-3 draw by Sassuolo at the Stadio Mapei - Citta del Tricolore.

The outcome meant the Old Lady's title contention suffered another set back after failing to win any of their last three encounters.

Danilo opened scoring for the visitors just six minutes into the encounter and Gonzalo Higuain doubled their lead in the 12th minute.

It was looking all rosy for the away team until Filip Djuricic reduced the home team's deficit just one minute before half time.

However, Sassuolo scored two quick goals at the resumption of the remaining half - Domenico Berardi scored the equaliser in the 51st minute.

And three minutes later, Francesco Caputo handed his side the lead for the first time in the game with so much control of the game.

But Alex Sandro's unstoppable header in the 64th minute put Juventus back into the game but the game ended with both teams sharing the spoils after the final whistle.

Though still seven points ahead of Atlanta, Maurizio Sarri have been poor in their last three matches - failing to take advantage and increasing their tally on the table.

The Old Lady will hope to return to winning ways when they welcome Lazio to the Allianz Stadium in their next game.
