Mesut Özil is ready to return to the Arsenal squad for their Premier League clash against champions Liverpool on Wednesday, July 15.

The German midfielder who appears to have fallen out of favour with his manager participated in the Gunners' first-team training earlier this week.

According to Metro UK, the former Real Madrid player who has not featured for the North Londoners since football returned last month, could be given the green light later today.

Özil has one goal and three assists in 23 appearances across competitions for the Emirates Stadium outfit.

Arsenal might be needing the midfielder's motivation in their quest to return to winning ways after squandering their leadership against city rivals Tottenham in their last outing.

The attacker whose £350,000-a-week contract expires in 2021 will be making his first appearance since the Gunners defeated West Ham United by a lone goal in March.

After the training session with his teammates, Özil tweeted: "I A M R E A D Y ⚽Collision symbol."

Though they have lost the EPL title to Liverpool, they stand a chance to win silverware this term if they can upset Manchester City in their FA Cup semifinals.

While Manchester United and Chelsea face off again in the second last-four fixture the following day. Mikel Arteta's men will wrap up their EPL season with games against Aston Villa and Watford later this month.
