Marcus Rashford is now on the verge of recording his name in the history books this summer as the University of Manchester will give him an honorary doctorate degree.
This will be a great achievement for the England international as Rashford will be the youngest in history to receive the award .
Rashford's campaign against child poverty during the serious lock-down in England helped him receive the big recognition by the Manchester University.
During the month of June, Rashford campaigned for the United Kingdom government to extend the free school meals for children.
At the beginning of the campaign, the United Kingdom prime minister first kicked against it, but he later accepted to do what Rashford wanted for the children.
The University explained that they are proud of the gesture by the Manchester United striker Rashford and they have to honour him.
Former Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson and Bobby Charlton have previously received the award from the University of Manchester.
Rashford and his teammates at Manchester United are currently occupying fifth position on the Premier League table with three games to end the season.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Rashford emerged the number one transfer target for French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain as reports claim the club believe youngster "don't realize how good a player the Manchester United star actually is".
It was gathered that the PSG boss is a big fan of the striker and is now ready to make a £100 million plus bid in the summer for the 22-year-old.

Rashford is one of United’s most important players and the Red Devils would not listen to any deal discussion less than £100m before they would even consider negotiations.
The star has scored 16 goals and made 8 assists in all competitions so far this season and Tuchel is believed to value the player and thinks he will combine well upfront with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
His direct style of play and willingness to run off ball also make him an attractive prospect at the Parc des Princes.
