The situation between the minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and former MD of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joi Nunieh, is getting messier as the latter accused the former of sexual harassment.
Speaking to Arise TV on Monday, July 13, Nunieh claimed she slapped Akpabio in his Abuja home for allegedly sexually harassing her.
Akpabio had earlier accused Nunieh of unnecessary paranoia, which he said affected her alleged relationships with her previous four husbands.
He also accused Nunieh of insubordination, failing to respond to official memos as well as lacking the requisite qualifications for heading a high office like the headship of the NDDC, including not being able to present NYSC certificate.
However, in her response on Monday, the ex-NDDC boss boasted of being the only woman who has slapped the minister.
She claimed Akpabio always scheduled official meetings for private residences ‘ because he had a plan B’.
Pressed by the programme anchors to explain what the plan B was about, Nunieh admitted that she slapped the minister for sexually harassing her.
She also explained that she failed to respond to most of the memos, which Akpabio termed insubordination, because they were frivolous and written by people under the minister who did not have such rights to carry out official communication with her office.
The former NDDC boss further alleged that she was pressured by the minister to take an oath of allegiance, which she declined, thereby further souring their official relationship.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Nunieh accused Akpabio of fraud, claiming the minister would never sign any document, but rather ask his subordinates to commit double-dealing.

The former acting managing director of the NDDC alleged that she was asked by the minister to change dollars in the commission's account.
Nunieh speaking to journalists after appearing before a Senate ad-hoc committee also alleged that Akpabio asked her to sack a northerner who heads the legal team and remove all directors who did not want to follow his instructions.
