Marseille are reportedly eyeing a possibility of Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane at the French League 1 club.

Reports have it that French businessman Mourad Boudjellal is hoping to help a consortium to buy the Ligue 1 side from its American owners this summer.

It was gathered that the Stade Velodrome outfit could become the biggest football club in France with the possible arrival of prospective Franco-Tunisian investor Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudi.

Marseille had a fine campaign last season finishing second in the Ligue 1, but they were twelve points adrift of champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG).

Ajroudi is reportedly hoping to bring the biggest names in football to the team if the club is finally conceded to him with reports that local lad Zidane, who was famously born in the city, could become the club’s manager.

While admitting that Andre Villas-Boas has his full confidence, Ajroudi is not ruling out Zidane’s possible switch to take over affairs.

He told Le Figaro: "But what would be better than bringing back a local lad? Zinedine Zidane? The future will tell us.”

“And a player that I will never forget is Cristiano Ronaldo. It would be a dream to have him in Marseille… But that is the task of (potential future club president) Mourad Boudjellal.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid restored their four points gap over Barcelona on the Spanish League table after beating Deportivo Alaves 2-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Los Blancos are definitely not going to allow any slip up with just three matches to wrap up the 2019-20 season after Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio scored a goal each in either half.
