It has been several months since Nigerian lady, Omotola Taiwo aka Omohtee, first cried out on social media after she got undesired results from a cosmetic procedure performed on her by a surgeon identified as Dr Anu Adepoju of Med Contour.

Omohtee has now captured the attention of Nigerians on social media once again following a recent interview with BBC News.

The Nigerian lady who is popular on the microblogging platform, Twitter, noted that she went through hell at the hands of the medical practitioner.

Omohtee in the tell-all interview said the whole drama started after she went for a procedure that cost N1.2m to get her tummy flatter and her backside more pronounced. She said a few months after Dr Anu performed the surgery on her she starting having complications.

According to Omohtee, bringing the matter to social media caused her a lot of backlash. She said a lot of people lambasted her for going for the procedure when she could have done something better with the money.

Omohtee said she contemplated taking her life on several occasions because of the mental, physical and financial trouble she was going through.

On why she shared her story despite the backlash, the 28-year-old said she did so in a bid to serve as a lesson for other ladies out there.

In a different portion of the clip, Dr Anu, in her defence said the only time she never attended to Omohtee was when she was in Dubai. According to her, she also made Omohtee understand that she will be duly attended to once she returns to her country.

The medical practitioner while addressing people who have criticized her stated that she never presented herself as a plastic surgeon but as a cosmetic surgeon. Dr Anu added that she has her first degree in medicine and other certifications that give her the license to practice.

Speaking further on the matter, Omohtee in a series of Instastory posts noted that she decided to speak up despite the fact that people tried to bully her. She noted that God has been the only one who kept her and she has also learnt from the experience.

Addressing her critics, she added that however she chooses to share her story should not be a concern to them.
