Like an army of intrigues, the leadership crisis in the All Progressive Congress (APC) is taking another dimension despite the party's attempt to search for a wave of lasting peace.

It would be recalled that ruling party, faced by turbulent times ahead of the Edo state election, had dissolved its national working committee led by Adams Oshiomhole.

The decision was made at the party's national executive meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. An extra-ordinary and caretaker committee was later set up led by Governor Mai-Mala Buni of Yobe state.

But in what is looking like another sinister ploy, a chieftain of the party, Lateef Arigbaruwo, has filed a suit seeking for the dissolution of the Buni-led caretaker committee.

Arigbaruwo, in a suit with number FHC/L/CS/789/2020, faulted the NEC meeting of the party held on Thursday, June 25, where the committee was constituted.

He also wanted a Federal High Court in Lagos to stop the committee from performing its function. APC, Victor Giadom, NEC and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are listed as respondents in the suit.

"The plaintiff is seeking an order of the court setting aside all the decisions taken in the NEC meeting, which he declared illegal on the grounds that it was conveyed in the June 24 and held on June 25, contrary to Article 25 of the APC Constitution,” part of the suit read.
