Inter Milan are reportedly planning to lure Barcelona legend Lionel Messi to the Italian League with the help of their shirt sponsors.
The Argentine forward's current deal with the Catalans expire in the summer of 2021 and he is yet to renew or sign an extension with the club.
He has recently been linked with a move away from the club following the altercation he had with his employers earlier this season.
And Inter, according to SunSport, is hoping they can exploit his slightly broken relationship with Barca to bring him to Italy.

Messi has been linked with a transfer to Inter before and tyre company Pirelli will back club president Steven Zhang in an audacious move for the 33-year-old.
But their chief executive admitted the contribution can only be small following the financial fall out of the coronavirus pandemic.
Marco Tronchetti told Gr Parlamento: "Honestly, at a time like this, we're unable to invest in sports more than we are, between Formula 1, the America's Cup and Inter.
"We have to ask Steven Zhang to make an effort himself. We can help, but we can't do anything significant."
SunSport added that both Juventus and Manchester City have been linked with a sensational move for the icon.
Reports from the Camp Nou claims the 33-year-old isn't happy with the way things are at the club and would want to leave at the expiration of his contract.
Meanwhile, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu seems unperturbed about the situation after saying the star man will end his career at Camp Nou.
He said this after his side's 4-1 win over Villarreal: "Messi has said he will end his working and footballing life at Barca.
"I'm not going to explain the details because we are focused on the competition and we are negotiating with many players.
"But Messi has explained to us that he wants to stay and so we're going to enjoy him for much longer."
Legit.ng earlier reported that following reports that Lionel Messi could quit Barcelona when his contract lapses next year, the club president Josep Bartomeu has claimed that the player wants to remain with them.
Reports from Spain have it that Messi is could leave the Catalan club when his contract expires in the summer of 2021 after he has been fingered for many issues within the squad.
According to Spanish outlet Cadena Ser radio, the Argentine star called off negotiations regarding the renewal of his present contract which he signed in 2017.
