Meet brilliant Habeebah Olayinka who finished with 7.0 CGPA from UI

A Nigerian lady, Habeeba Olayinka, has shown that Nigeria is blessed with many brilliant minds.

Habeeba finished her masters from the department of botany at the University of Ibadan with an amazing 7.0 CGPA.

According to Safiyanu Yakubu, she was the best graduating student of her set in 2019.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Egoagwuagwu Agnes Maduafokwa is another beautiful mind the country is blessed with.

She is the candidate with the highest score in the 2020 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations otherwise known as Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Egoagwuagwu scored 365 out of 400. She is the president of the maths club and the first assistant head girl of Louisville Girls High School, Ijebu-Itele in Ogun state.

She said she wants to study engineering at the university where she will be able to apply mathematical concepts to solve societal issues.

The brilliant girl is from Ihiala in Anambra state and she sat for the UTME exam on Saturday, March 14, at St Michael Otedola Education Centre in Epe, Lagos state. She had 72 in Use of English, 99 in Mathematics, 99 in Physics, and 95 in Chemistry.

In other news, a Nigerian made it again on the international scene. Patrick Okigbo III and other world professionals were appointed as senior fellows at Harvard University.

The news of the appointment was disclosed on Wednesday, July 1, by Victoria Omachi who said that the appointees will be working on strengthening the connection between theory and practice.

The fellows were sponsored by a Harvard Kennedy School faculty member each, and 12 people are chosen every year.

Before a person is chosen, they must have a minimum of 20 years of professional experience and are required to attend and present at seminars, conferences, and lunches as they carry out independent research projects.

Okigbo is the founder of Nextier, a policy think-tank firm with a focus on making governance and development.

He has received so many grants and served on several government committees. He had his MBA from Emory University.
