Klopp believes Man City and Bayern can win this season's UCL title

Outgoing Premier League champions Manchester City and German champions Bayern Munich have been tipped by Jurgen Klopp as the two favorites winners for the Champions League.

Despite winning the title last season beating Tottenham in the final, Liverpool have been sent out of the Champions League losing against Atletico Madrid.

But the Reds will still have something to celebrate with this term as they have already won the Premier League title despite five games remaining to end the season.

Manchester City are aiming to win the Champions League this season which Pep Guardiola has not won since he became boss at the Etihad.

The Citizens defeated mighty Real Madrid 2-1 in the first leg of their Champions League knockout game with another tie expected to happen before knowing who reach the last 8.

Bayern Munich on the other hand have already put one leg in the quarterfinal after beating Chelsea 3-0 in the first tie and it will be hard for the Blues to recover.

With Barcelona and Juventus still in the race, Jurgen Klopp feels that Bayern Munich and Manchester City have the chance.

‘'I think for me the two big favorites left in the competition are Bayern and Man City.

‘That would be an interesting game. Bayern played an impressive season in Germany after Hansi Flick took over and it was really impressive what they did and these two are the favorites,'' Klopp explained.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Thiago Alcantara who currently plays for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga is now on the verge of moving to England after he reportedly agreed personal terms with Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp is planning to bolster his squad for next season after winning the 2019/20 Premier League title so as for him to retain the trophy.

According to the latest report on UK Sun, negotiations between Liverpool and Bayern Munich is going on and the deal is expected to cost the Blues massive £31 million.

The report added that the Anfield landlords will first pay Bayern Munich the sum of £27m and will roll out the balance on bonuses' basis.

Alcantara has been playing for Bayern Munich for the past seven years and the Spaniard has made 230 appearances for the German champions.
