- DJ Cuppy had been a famous Arsenal football club supporter over the years
- She recently dumped the Gunners for Manchester United after series of poor performances
- Arsenal defeated Norwich 4-0 on Wednesday and the entertainer now has her emotions raised
Popular Nigerian entertainer DJ Cuppy has expressed sadness that her former team Arsenal are back to winning ways just three days after she declared her support for Manchester United.
Arsenal vs Norwich City ended in a 4-0 win for the Gunners as they continue their remarkable comeback on the backdrop of defeats since returning from the break.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace from two mistakes and Granit Xhaka added the third while Cedric Soares completed the onslaught to push Arsenal up to seventh on the table.
Although the Gunners are still in contention for the European spot, Mikel Arteta’s men have been far from impressive in recent times and several club supporters feel upset.
The beautiful daughter of Femi Otedola, a famous Nigerian business mogul, had tweeted before the FA Cup game between the Reds and Norwich that she will officially become a Man Utd fan if the her countryman Odion Ighalo could find the back of the net.
“As a Nigerian I think it’s only right that if Ighalo scores a goal today... I will officially join Man Utd as a fan,” she tweeted before the game .
And in the 51st minute of the nerve cracking fixture, Ighalo pounced on a loose ball and flicked the ball into the net, leaving Tim Crul hapless in goal, a match which ended 2-1 in favour of the Red Devils.
While Manchester United have officially welcomed her to the club with a tweet, Odion Ighalo also sent her official club jerseys he personally signed.
However, with Arsenal’s emphatic win over Norwich on Wednesday night, DJ Cuppy wondered if she had not been the ‘bad luck’ for the Gunners.
“Mood when your ex starts succeeding in life after you dump him for being a failure ....Was I the bad luck in the relationship @Arsenal?” she posted with pictures of herself in tears.
She however consoled herself that that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will finally reach the UEFA Champions league.
“All I can say to those cruising me is that at least my NEW team are going to the Champions League,” she added.
