The Nigerian Twitter community has been awash with reactions following the sexual abuse allegations against popular UK-doctor and influencer, Dr Olufunmilayo, by a female doctor, Bola Aseyan.
Shortly after she took to the platform to accuse him of abuse, Olufunmilayo came out to refute the allegations, giving his own side of the story as well.
Olufunmilayo who is an outspoken advocate for rape victims seems to be getting a lot of shade thrown at him as his story of drunken sex is what many describe as an 'own goal' considering he preaches about the importance of consent.

However, there are those who believe Bola is lying and have shown their support for the doctor. According to these set of people, she was on a mission to destroy him.
They further advised him to make sure he gets justice.

Bola had on June 29, 2020, taken to the platform to reveal she has been tolerating abuse from the said doctor for a long time.
Bola who claimed she didn't want to come out with her story as she wanted no negative publicity, stated that he is the opposite of everything he preaches online.
In other news, Nollywood actor, Nosa Rex, has taken to social media to speak on the abuse allegations against actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, by an ex-staff member.
In a lengthy video shared to his Instagram page, the actor who stars as Terwase in the series, Jenifa's Diary, stated that people ought to show gratitude when it comes to moving up in the industry.
According to him, Akindele has a lot of people under her payroll and needs to be firm with them so they don't take advantage of her. He also added that she had every right to show displeasure if things don't go her way as she was putting in her own money.
