- The Spanish youngster confirmed his exit from Barcelona on social media this week
- The 16-year-old has been linked with a move to Man United for a small fee of about £200,000
Barcelona youngster Marc Jurado appears to have confirmed his departure from the club after posting a goodbye message on his Instagram page.
The 16-year-old defender has been on the radar of Manchester United after being considered one of the brightest youngsters at the La Liga club.
Jurado penned an appreciation to the club saying it was difficult to part ways with them after all the memories they both share.
“It’s never easy to leave a team that has given you everything. FC Barcelona has been my second home, my second family, where I have developed as a player and as a person," he wrote.
"Today it’s time to say goodbye, but not before expressing my gratitude to each of the people who have helped me since I started in the prebenjamín in the year 2011.
"I have been lucky to share my passion with a fantastic generation, with which I will always be linked."
Although it is yet to be seen where his next destination would be, reports have it that he is on his way to join the Red Devils.
The Mirror quoting Metro UK claims United already agreed a deal to sign the Spaniard earlier this year despite Barcelona's hopes of keeping him after offering him a lucrative, long-term deal.
He however preferred to join Man United with their deal outweighing that of the Spanish League giants.
Manchester Evening News confirmed that the Red Devils will have to pay a compensation fee of about £200,000 to Barcelona for the player who has been with the Catalans since he was seven.
Jurado's post added: "We started as boys who just wanted to run after a ball and I say goodbye, nine years later, calling them friends.
"Only we know the immense luck we have had with all the coaches who have developed us and helped us to keep fulfilling our dreams.
“Every stage has a beginning and an end. Mine, having reflected a lot with my family, has come. I leave behind unforgettable memories which will always stay with me.”
Legit.ng earlier reported that Spanish League giants Barcelona FC have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Arthur Melo this summer.
The Brazilian is expected to join the Italian champions once the ongoing campaign expires in a matter of weeks from now.
Barca agreed to allow their player to leave for a fee valued around €72 million plus €10m add-ons barely two years after joining them from Gremio.
