A Nigerian father identified as Rotimi Emmanuel Akinwande has taken to his social media page to share an emotional story as he celebrates himself for Father's Day.

On Sunday, June 21, many people took to their various social media pages to celebrate their fathers, husbands, and the men in their lives. Sadly, there are some people who did not have anyone to celebrate them.

One such person is Akinwande who said that his status as a married man changed six months ago after he lost his wife. According to him, he became a widower by fate.

Looking back at how far he has come, Akinwande stated that his son is now grown while praying that will also grow to become a great father.

The father went on to wish himself a happy father's day. He also prayed for every woman who has taken the role of a father. Akinwande prayed that their labour would never be in vain.
