- Bukayo Saka was impressive for Arsenal in their defeat against Brighton
- Rio Ferdinand has now hailed the 18-year-old winger for his performance
- Nicolas Pepe's goal failed to save Arsenal from a 2-1 defeat
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has named Bukayo Saka as the player who should be praised for his incredible performance despite his side's defeat against Brighton.
For the second time in a week, Mikel Arteta and his wards suffered an embarrassing defeat when they conceded late goal against Brighton on Sunday, June 20.
The defeat came as a painful one for all Arsenal fans who had thought that the Gunners would soar after their defeat against Manchester City.
But the North London side disappointed again as their qualification for next season's Champions League is now in doubt.
Bukayo Saka provided the assist which gave Nicolas Pepe the goal against Brighton in their 2-1 defeat.
“What’s more impressive is he has played, left back, left mid, right midfield, right back the other day. Now he’s playing midfield. He’s producing wherever he is asked to play,'' Ferdinand explained to BT Sport.

Meanwhile, Arsenal chiefs are still trying to make Bukayo Saka commit his future to the club by signing a new deal.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has set personal unwanted record for himself on Saturday, June 20, when he failed to score against Brighton after firing seven shots.
This is the most attempts the Gabonese striker has taken for Arsenal since he joined the Gunners without scoring as the North London side suffered a 2-1 defeat.
He played only three shots on target for Arsenal in their defeat against Brighton which ended in a controversial style.
As it is now, this is an indication that Aubameyang has not gotten his rhythm since the resumption of the League considering how he also failed to score against Manchester City.
Arsenal's defeat against Brighton has condemned the Gunners to ninth position on the Premier League table with limited hope of them making the Champions League next season.
Should Arsenal fail to finish among the top four, then it means that the Gunners won't play Champions League for two seasons as they missed this term's competition.
