- Sevilla vs Barcelona played a goalless draw as Julen Lopetegui's side held the defending champions
- The match failed to produce a goal as both goalkeepers produced outstanding saves all through 90 minutes
- Real Madrid now have the chance to go top of La Liga on the head-to-head rule if they beat Real Sociedad
Sevilla vs Barcelona ended in a 0-0 scoreline as La Liga champions drop two vital points leaving the title race with Real Madrid wide open.
The match produced many scoring chances but none of the sides would make them count in the entertaining encounter played at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan.
Sevilla almost got their noses in front in the 11th minute after a headed clearance fell kindly to Jules Kounde who took a shot but the ball went agonizingly wide.

Three minutes later, Kounde was at the other end defending his goal as he cleverly headed away Lionel Messi from a set-piece that was going directly into the back of the net.
The second half was action-packed as Munir El Haddadi pulled the strings with a darting run down the left and went solo on goal but Marc-Andre ter Stegen fisted his shot away.
Lucas Ocampos also pulled a fantastic save off Ter Stegen as he made a strong run down the right before drilling in a powerful shot at the near post but the German shot-stopper was equal to the task.
Messi had another free-kick tipped over by Tomas Vaclik in the 72nd minute as the score remained 0-0.
Two minutes from time, Luis Suarez almost won it for Barca but the Uruguayan striker could not keep his shot down from a Jordi Alba's cross.
On-loan Real Madrid full-back Sergio Reguilon had a glorious opportunity on time added on as a lucky bounce fell into his path but he could not get the right contact with the ball as Ter Stegen made an easy catch.
Both sides shared the spoils as Barca now three points ahead of Madrid and a win for Zinedine Zidane's men against Real Sociedad, Los Blancos will go on top level on points but would lead on head-to-head rules.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Lionel Messi has continued to write his name in the history books of Barcelona and La Liga as he became the first player to score 20 goals in 12 straight seasons.
The Argentine attacker scored Barca's fourth goal in their 4-0 victory over Mallorca to take his tally to 20 for the season.
Messi is currently La Liga's all-time topscorer and now the only player in the Spanish topflight division to have scored 20 goals in a dozen season.
