The fate of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane seems to have been sealed after Pep Guardiola confirmed the German international is set to leave the club.
Sane reportedly rejected a new contract and will possibly leave the club for free once his current deal runs out.
The Premier League champions reportedly had a deal on the table for the longest time but Sane never committed his future to the club amid interest from Bayern Munich.

Speculation on his future was put to rest by Pep Guardiola who affirmed that indeed the 24-year-old’s contract would not be renewed.
"Leroy said he doesn’t want to extend his contract. If he wants to leave and it is going to happen this summer or at the end of the contract,” Guardiola said during the press conference ahead of the Burnley game.
According to Guardiola, talks were initiated but the winger was keen on joining another team.
“The club talked to me a few times, he rejected his contract so he wants to play at another club. I think everybody knows and if at the end of this season an agreement can be found he will leave, if not he will leave at the end of his contract,” he went on.
Having recovered from injury, Sane was an unused substitute in the win over Arsenal on Wednesday, June 17.
He joined Manchester City for £37m on a five-year deal in 2016.
He has not featured for his team after suffering cruciate ligament damage while playing in the Community Shield in August 2019.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Bernardo Silva has weighed in on the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi debate, saying it not a debatable issue and people should enjoy them.
The Man City star and Ronaldo both represent Portugal and they won Europe's first Nations League tournament together.
And Silva has been appreciative of the privilege of training alongside the Juventus star when they assemble for national team assignments.
However, on who is the better player between his fellow countryman and Barcelona star Messi, Silva does not want to choose, instead, he suggested people should enjoy their craft on the pitch.
