Residents of Lagos are currently witnessing a heavy downpour of rain in the state that started on Wednesday, June 17, and some of them have started taking to social media to share stories of their experiences.
One such resident is popular music executive, Ubi Franklin. The serial entrepreneur recently took to his verified Instagram page with a short narration of what played out in his house amidst the heavy downpour.
According to Franklin, the ceiling of his guest room collapsed after being soaked with water, causing the rain to fall directly into the room.
He, however, noted that luckily the person who was sleeping inside the room at the time was not hurt.
Franklin said: "At About 5:30am I heard a knock on my door and when I came out it was my PA 'sir the house is flooded' everywhere was flooded.
"The Roof came off, POP soaked and it was raining directly into one of the guest rooms upstairs and luckily, the person sleeping in the room was not hurt."
His post was accompanied with videos showing the heavily flooded room. Check out his post below:
