The coronavirus disease has spread to 35 states in the country and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
However, the infections are not evenly spread as the number of coronavirus cases in Lagos and the FCT alone is higher than the combined figure for all the other 34 states.
Lagos tops the Covid-19 chart with 7,616 cases while Abuja comes a distant second with 1,391 cases. The two have 9,007 cases combined out of the 17,735 cases across the country. This represents 50.7% of the total Covid-19 cases in the country.

Legit.ng gathered that the state government on Tuesday, June 16, received a report of verbal autopsy conducted to determine the cause of the ‘mysterious’ deaths in the state.
According to the report presented to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, 15.9% of the deaths were related to coronavirus pandemic.
The report conflicted with the figures presented by the minister of health, Osagie Ehanire, which suggested that between 50-60% of the deaths were due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
