The 21-year-old has also been linked with English Premier League and La Liga clubs but Napoli are confident that they have stolen a march on their rivals for his services.
And Christophe Galtier who is the gaffer of French giants Lille has suggested that the club will sell Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen this summer and there is nothing he can do to stop it.
This latest development will be a cheering one for Arsenal, Tottenham, Napoli and even Manchester United who have been tracking Victor Osimhen.
Lille are known as one of the clubs in Europe that give youngsters the opportunity to exhibit their talents and then sell them at bigger money.
An example is how they bought Nicolas Pepe, gave him the chance to flourish before selling him to Arsenal in what was a big deal.
The club's chiefs then stormed the transfer market to buy Super Eagles' Victor Osimhen who has been doing well for the side since he joined.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Samuel Chukwueze has been in tremendous form since the return of La Liga as he helped Villarreal beat Mallora 1-0 in a matchday 29 fixture.
The Nigerian international played all 90 minutes in the match and justified his starting position in Javi Calleja's squad. Mallorca created the urgency in the opening minutes as former Chelsea star Baba Rahman rattled the cross-bar from distance.
But it was Chukwueze who made the Yellow Marines' first real threat on goal count as he made a dashing run down the right and sleeked a pass through to Carlos Bacca who had an easy tap-in.
Manu Trigueros should have doubled the advantage but Mallorca's stopper Manolo Reina made a fine save from close range to keep his team's hopes alive.
