Former Manchester United superstar Nani has claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo once told him years back that he might be ending his glorious career in the Major League Soccer.

Cristiano Ronaldo is no doubt one of the best footballers in the world considering his records since he started his career years back in Portugal.

After leaving Sporting Lisbon, Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the Premier League to join Manchester United then under Sir Alex Ferguson.

And while at Old Trafford, Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani played together in the Premier League and also Champions League.

The Portugal international left Manchester United for a move to Real Madrid where he spent nine years winning four Champions League title and also four Ballon d'Or.

Nani who currently plays for Orlando City told ESPN that Cristiano Ronaldo could later be going to America considering what he said years back.

''A couple of years ago, Cristiano Ronaldo told me that he could probably be ending up his career in America. "It's not 100% but probably there is a chance." Nani told ESPN.

It is not yet clear if Cristiano Ronaldo would still want to finish his football career in America as he currently plays for Juventus in Italy.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is said to be interested in the former Manchester United star and would welcome the idea of having him in his squad.

Blues fans have however reacted on social media with many expressing surprise about Cristiano Ronaldo being linked with their club while some said they don't need him.
