Nigeria is no doubt a very religious country as a lot of people do not joke with their preachers and they readily latch on to their words in their search for prosperity or breakthrough.
This neediness for pastors has led to some fraudulent people seeing it as an opportunity to establish a business with the aim of scamming people with their belief in God.
It is no longer news that there are so many fake preachers around who have successfully tainted the calling of the good ones.
Just recently, a report made the rounds that the head pastor of the Word Based Prophetic and Deliverance Ministry, Cross River, Rev Paul Abam, was paraded and disgraced in the state.
According to reports, Rev Abam was disgraced after his plan to extort his cousin after giving him a fake prophecy failed.
It was said that the pastor told his cousin that someone who was after his life had planted a charm on his land. The preacher also asked for some money to uproot the charm.
The pastor’s plan was however foiled as someone had spotted him burying the charm on the land. He was thereafter paraded and disgraced with his fetish things.
It was also gathered that the pastor is fond of giving fake prophecies and extorting people.
A Facebook user identified as Juliet Wonah also took to the social networking site to share photos of the pastor as he was disgraced by people in the town.
