Angel Gomes once visited the Synagogue Church for All Nations and the video which was reportedly shot in 2016 has gone viral.
However, the Man United star has come out to explain why he traveled to Nigeria with his parents to see TB Joshua when he was at age 16.
Gomes took to his social media handle an explained how his parents resulted in bringing him into Nigeria to solve his physical and spiritual problems which he believes is according to his faith.
"Regarding the video that has come out from 2016. I am from a Christian family at the time my mum was a fan of the pastor, and she really wanted me to go.
"I was going through some issues. From the outside looking in it looks crazy, but I was just practicing my faith.
"I didn’t really need to explain myself but a lot of people was asking me what the video was about. I was young at the time and if my parents thought something was best for Me I would do it. There are far more important issues out there in the world we can tackle," Gomes wrote on Twitter.
Gomes who became the youngest Red Devils player to feature for the senior squad and also the first star born in the 2000's to play in the Premier League.
Now 19, Gomes has made five appearances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and has scored four goals before the three-month break.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Manchester United attacking midfielder Angel Gomes has been spotted in a video trending on social media on how he visited Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua in his Synagogue Church of all Nations in Lagos.
Prophet TB Joshua is known worldwide as a Man of God who heals and also does miracles in which countless of people visit his church every day.
In the video which is believed to have been taken in 2017, Manchester United star Angel Gomes was seen talking about how injuries had affected his playing career.
