- Kylian Mbappe has been told by Luka Modric to move to another League
- Modric thinks the France international can fulfill his potential elsewhere
- Real Madrid have been linked with a move to sign the 21-year-old
Kylian Mbappe has been advised by Real Madrid star Luka Modric for him to leave Paris-Saint-Germain and move to a more competitive League where he can fulfill his potential.
The France international has been superb for Paris-Saint-Germain since he joined the French champions from Monaco and has become target for many sides in Europe.
Before football was suspended in Europe, Real Madrid came close to seal the signature of Kylian Mbappe from Paris-Saint-Germain, but nothing was agreed on later.
At the age of 21, Kylian Mbappe has already won the World Cup after his success with France at the 2018 edition where they beat Croatia.
He netted 29 goals in 32 games for Paris-Saint-Germain in the 2019/20 season that was recently cancelled.
Luka Modric who has won the Ballon d'Or award once stated clearly that Kylian Mbappe must leave Paris-Saint-Germain for him to reach the peak of his career.
''Kylian Mbappe has everything to dominate the scene.
"But I think that to make the leap in quality he needs to go to a championship in which his team does not win so easily,'' Modric told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Should Real Madrid fail to win the Spanish La Liga title this season, then Zidane and his chiefs may be forced to break the bank for the signing of Mbappe this summer.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Paris-Saint-Germain are reportedly on the verge of losing France international Kylian Mbappe this summer with reports linking the forward with a move to join Real Madrid.
Real Madrid have been tracking the youngster since last year, and they may have the possibility to land their target man this summer which is expected to cost them £257m.
Kylian Mbappe still has two-and-a-half years deal on his current deal with Paris-Saint-Germain, but the French club are still determined to extend his stay in Paris.
But according to respected French journalist Julien Laurens of ESPN, Real Madrid are preparing to make a move for the 21-year-old.
Los Blancos' chiefs are also said to be planning to use Kylian Mbappe's fellow countryman Zinedine Zidane to convince him to move to the Bernabeu.
