WWE legendary star Edge is staring at up to eight months on the sidelines after he reportedly suffered a horrific injury at WWE Backlash.
Edge is understood to have suffered a torn tricep during his bout against Randy Orton dubbed the "Greatest Wrestling Match Ever."
His injury came just months after he made a sensational return to the ring at the Royal Rumble after years of inaction following a neck injury back in 2011.

During his return, the 46-year-old fought Orton at Wrestlemania 36, defeating the Vipers before he was challenged to face him again on Sunday night, June 14.
SunSport reports the epic clash lived up to its billing, with fans being treated to a 40-minute of nothing but absolute entertainment.
However, it was a double tragedy for Edge who not only lost the fight, but also picked a career-threatening injury.
According to reports, Edge, real name Adam Copeland, the injury could potentially rule him out of a trilogy fight with Orton at SummerSlam.
It is believed he tore his tricep, but the severity of the injury is yet to be determined.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that WWE Backlash was an event that would remain in the hearts of fans as Randy Orton and Adam Edge settled their scores in the Greatest Wrestling Match Ever.
The fight saw both the American and Canadian used finishing moves of The Rock's Rock Bottom, Kurt Angle's Angle Slam Christian's Unprettier and Triple H's Pedigree but that did not end the match.
Randy delivered to RKO's and it did not pin Edge until he landed a punt to the head which earned him a 1-2-3 count for the win.
The event was action-packed and all the belts in RAW and SmackDown were put on the line but no new champion emerged.
