Super Eagles star Moses Simon has been rewarded with a four-year contract at French club Nantes after his impressive performance on loan from La Liga side Levante.
The club confirmed the development on Monday, June 15 as reports have it that Nantes paid 5 million euros ($5.6million) for the 24-year-old forward to seal a permanent deal.
Simon has impressed since his arrival from Spain and has scored nine goals and had eight assists in 30 games for the Lige 1 club.
Other financial details are yet to be made public by the club.
Moses Simon has also been shortlisted for this year's Marc-Vivien Foe prestigious prize alongside nine other African stars including his compatriot Victor Osimhen.
The annual award, organised by Radio France International and France 24 is put together to recognise African players plying their trade in the European country.
According to Goal.com, the 11 contenders were announced with the winner scheduled to be revealed on June 29.
Meanwhile, Rinsola Babajide has signed another two-year contract with Liverpool after she has impressed since joining the club from rivals Watford in 2018.
The 21-year-old has scored a total of eight goals for the club in her 33 appearances in all competitions to finish as the club’s top scorer.
Rinsola also bagged the Player of the Month award in January and she is delighted to have renewed her contract with the club for another two years.
“Happy to extend my contract with @LiverpoolFCW and continue our journey, ready to fight to put things right & can’t wait to get back to work with the team & play in front of our amazing supporters,” the exciting attacker said in a social media post.
