Nigeria records 627 new coronavirus cases
- The NCDC has announced 627 new cases of Covid-19 on Friday, June 12
- Lagos still tops the chart with 229 cases while the FCT follows with 65 infections, Abia 54, Borno 42
- With the latest report, Nigeria now has a total of 15,181 confirmed cases, 4891 discharged and 399 deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday, June 12, reported that there are 627 new cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.
In the new cases, Lagos still tops the chart with 229 cases while the FCT follows with 65 infections, Abia 54, Borno 42.
Oyo has its own share with 35 cases while Rivers and Edo came 6th and 7th respectively with 28 cases each.
Gombe, on the other hand, has 27 cases while Ogun has 21.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has unveiled 2 emergency ventilators produced by a team of researchers from the Air Force Research and Development Centre and Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna.
The ventilators were produced in partnership with the faculty of veterinary medicine, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

The emergency ventilators, tagged ‘NAF E-Vents’, were unveiled on Wednesday, May 27 by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, in Kaduna state.
In a related development, the federal government has imposed a fine of N1million on a United Kingdom aircraft impounded last week for undertaking illegal commercial operations in Nigeria during the COVID-19 lockdown.
This was disclosed by the minister of aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, via micro-blogging site, Twitter.
“We caused them to pay and reported their callous misdemeanour to United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (UK CAA), MFA and the UK High Commission,” the minister tweeted on Sunday, May 24.
