Wizkid sets new record as he re-enters Social 50 Chart curated by Billboard

- Nigerian singer Wizkid has set a new record

- The music star made a re-entry at number 45 on the Billboard Social 50 Chart

Nigerian singer WIkzid may not be pleasing his fans with new music or an album at the moment, but there is no doubt that some of his old projects are still speaking for him.

Just recently, the afrobeats superstar set a new record by making a re-entry into the Social 50 chart which is curated by American entertainment media brand, Billboard.

The re-entry makes the Joro crooner the only Nigerian to achieve such feat and it is also interesting to note that he is the only Nigerian on the list.

A dedicated fan who celebrated the singer’s feat took to Twitter saying: “Wizkid has re entered Social 50 chart on billboard. He has spent 8 weeks on the chart(the most by a Nigerian). Let us keep hyping Wizkid and let haters keep hating & mentioning Wizkid so he’ll keep being a topic on Twitter and charting on billboard social 50”

Wizkid made his first entry on the chart in 2018. He debited at number 44 on the chart which is used to rank top performing artists on social media across the world.

Just recently, Burna Boy, Davido and Wikzid were featured in Billboard’s list of most-streamed artists in Sub-Saharan Africa. Burna Boy led the pack while Davido and Wizkid took the second and third spots as Nigerian artists. Diamond Platnumz, Fally Ipupa, among other top African acts also made the list.
