- N'Golo Kante has been linked with a move Real Madrid for the umpteenth time
- Los Blancos have reportedly placed a staggering £71m bid on the midfielder
- But reports claim Frank Lampard is not willing to part ways with Kante
N'Golo Kante could still join Real Madrid in the summer as Spanish giants have renewed their interest in the Chelsea star, reports claim.
Los Blancos have now placed a massive £71million bid on the French midfielder hoping the Premier League club would be tempted to sell him.
Chelsea are currently on a summer spending spree and could sell the former Leicester City star to fund the transfer moves for their targets.
However, Frank Lampard had previously ruled out the idea of selling Kante, revealing he is still part of his plans after overcoming some fitness problems.
"We had four or five of those [injured players] when we finished playing recently," he told BT Sport.
"N’Golo Kante is obviously a great example because he’s played four or five incredible seasons in terms of his individual success and he’s been used quite rightly by his managers a lot.
"This season he’s played only about 40 per cent of our games and even then it’s been difficult for him and I’ve really felt for him on an individual level. He’s been a huge miss for us.
"Looking forward, whenever a restart comes we want to get him in the best shape. We obviously need N’Golo Kante back in our team, one of the best players in the world."
Hakim Ziyech recently completed a £36m move from Ajax and the Blues are also likely to sign Timo Werner whose release clause is pegged at £53m.
Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz has also been linked to a move to Stamford Bridge with the Germany international likely to cost around £75m.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Chelsea are ready to trade four players to help land Ben Chilwell's transfer from Leicester City, reports claim.
Frank Lampard has made the England international his priority this summer after the arrival of Hakim Ziyech and potentially Timo Werner.
According to Times, Chilwell would cost the Blues a fee of around £85m and Lampard is ready to sell four players to fund the move for the left-back.
