Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has told his followers how God wants his 57th birthday celebrated.

The man of God, who will be 57 years on Friday, June 12, said showing love to the needy, the sick and the hungry is how he wants his birthday celebrated.

He said birthdays are a time to reflect on the memories of yesterday, the joys of today and the dreams of tomorrow.

The cleric said people should love others and help them without expecting anything in return.

He called on his followers to care for the orphans, the widows and the homeless.

In other news, Prophet TB Joshua has told Christians that they are not immune to the deadly COVID-19.

The man of God stated this in a question and answer session on Emmanuel TV on YouTube, in which he said whatever the situation a believer finds himself, it is for his obedience to God.

He said: "Christians, do not make the mistake of thinking that you are ‘out of touch’.

God often uses 'anything' to preserve us and to strengthen our desires and determination for God. Whatever your situation as a believer, it is all for your obedience to God (Hebrews 5:8)."

The cleric said a Christian can contract COVID-19 because it is just like any other affliction, adding that a Christian can be sick in body and yet be a friend of God or a candidate of heaven.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the cleric said he is still waiting on God’s instruction to reopen his church.

The man of God spoke in response to the federal government’s new guidelines on the lifting of the ban on religious gathering.

Joshua said that there was a revelation on three different occasions about the church closing even before the government took the action to shut them down.
