Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has disclosed that he once had a heated moment with Cristiano Ronaldo for drinking Coke at breakfast during his time at the club.
Team manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier claimed that Giggs bullied the young Portuguese star over the incident and pinned him over the wall.
The Wales manager was recently asked if Ronaldo’s conduct was not acceptable and he replied: “Maybe. I don't know if I pinned him.
"I might have told him, ‘We don’t do this’ and then he went and scored a hat-trick! 'I drink what I want, Giggsy!'”
And this described the stands set at the club during the reigns of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson as regards how Giggs managed to play until he was 40.
He told the Utd Podcast: “I love chocolate and loads of butter on my toast. When I wasn’t playing well or felt a bit sluggish I cut them out completely."
And just recently, Giggs recalls Sir Alex Ferguson offloaded David Beckham to Real Madrid in 2003 due to his vindictive nature.
The Englishman was said to have confronted his manager after his side's defeat to rivals Arsenal in one of their FA Cup meetings. And the face-off led to the Scottish stoning him with a boot which ended up seeing up being stitched up.
Ruud van Nistelrooy and Jaap Stam were also shown the exit doors at Old Trafford following similar attitudes as that of Beckham.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United may are reportedly closing in on landing Argentine playmaker Thiago Almada who is also wanted by Arsenal.
The 19-year-old midfielder is currently contracted to Velez Sarsfield 2023 but the Red Devils are confident of luring him to Old Trafford this summer.
Almada, who has been dubbed new Lionel Messi has not only attracted the attention of Man United, Manchester City are also monitoring his situation in his home country.
The publication further revealed that La Liga giants Atletico Madrid are also eyeing the player credited with five goals and two assists in 25 appearances this season.
