Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is on the verge of sealing a deal for Brazilian midfielder Gerson in a deal valued around £30 million.

The 23-year-old star has a deal with Flamengo until 2023 but the Blues handler is confident of luring him to Stamford Bridge.

Having signed Hakim Ziyech for £33m earlier this year, the London club seems closer to landing £54m-rated Timo Werner before this campaign wraps up.

Chelsea aren't done in the transfer market as they are also eyeing Bayer Leverkusen wonder-kid Kai Havertz and they could be making that happen soon.
