- Victor Osimhen and Wilfred Ndidi have been no doubt superb for their various clubs
- Both players have been ranked in the top five Africa's most expensive players by the CIES
- Osimhen scored 18 goals in his first season in France, while Ndidi has been key to Leicester's campaign so far
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has emerged the fourth most expensive African football star according to the new ranking released by the CIES Football Observatory.
The Nigeria international made more than an impression in France in the recently botched season after scoring 18 goals and six assists in all competitions.
He also helped Les Dogues qualify for next season's Champions League following their fourth-place finish on the Ligue 1 table.
Osimhen was rated number 66th most expensive player in the list of top 100 costliest players in the world compiled by the CIES and reported by Complete Sport.
His performances have attracted the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Napoli and a host of other clubs show interest in landing the prolific goals scorer.
The former Wolfsburg attacker was also crowned Lille's best player of the season after just one year at the club.
Meanwhile, Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane occupy the first two positions while Arsenal's Nicolas Pepe tanked third on the list.
Both Salah and Mane have constantly been linked with a move to join Real Madrid but it is highly unlikely the Reds will allow them to leave.
The attackers have been instrumental to Merseyside's successes in recent times - first, it was Champions League triumph, and now they will win their first EPL title in over 30 years.
Salah and Mane are valued at €145 and €139 million respectively, while Arsenal’s Pepe is third with a value of €73m.
However, Osimhen is not the only Nigerian on the list of the world's most valuable players as Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi wrapped up the top five African stars.
The defensive midfielder who has been valued at about €50 million takes his position as the 94th most expensive player in the world.
Paris Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is the most expensive player in the world with a value of €259.2 million.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid but the Ligue 1 champions aren't ready to allow him leave just yet.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Victor Osimhen will not join Serie A giants Napoli in the summer due to high racial discrimination in Italy, reports claim.
According to reports, the Super Eagles striker was racially abused during his spell with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.
Omasports claim the 21-year-old is bothered about the hostile nature he would face if he joins the top Italian club, despite their keen interest.
