Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has emerged the fourth most expensive African football star according to the new ranking released by the CIES Football Observatory.

The Nigeria international made more than an impression in France in the recently botched season after scoring 18 goals and six assists in all competitions.

He also helped Les Dogues qualify for next season's Champions League following their fourth-place finish on the Ligue 1 table.

Osimhen was rated number 66th most expensive player in the list of top 100 costliest players in the world compiled by the CIES and reported by Complete Sport.

His performances have attracted the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Napoli and a host of other clubs show interest in landing the prolific goals scorer.

The former Wolfsburg attacker was also crowned Lille's best player of the season after just one year at the club.

Meanwhile, Liverpool duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane occupy the first two positions while Arsenal's Nicolas Pepe tanked third on the list.

The defensive midfielder who has been valued at about €50 million takes his position as the 94th most expensive player in the world.
