The injury has limited the World Cup-winning midfielder to just eight appearances this season, with his absence from action coinciding with Fernandes' January arrival from Sporting Lisbon.

But despite missing out on the chance to play alongside Pogba, Bruno has managed to take the EPL by storm and has had a major impact on United's top four race.

On his part, Pogba contends his impending combination with Bruno can spark a huge improvement for the Red Devils side.

The club share the same opinion, with Daily Mail reporting United chiefs feel the partnership could be key for the ex-Juve star's long-term future at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, United, who sit fifth on the league charts will return to action with an away trip to London to battle Tottenham Hotspur.

The crunch clash slated for Friday, June 19, will set pace for the top four race even as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeks to continue his side's 10-game unbeaten streak.
