Victor Osimhen rubbishes reports of Napoli transfer agreement

- Victor Osimhen has confirmed that he is not leaving French side Lille just yet

- The Nigerian branded the news of him joining Napoli as fake

Victor Osimhen who currently plays for Lille in the French Ligue 1 has dismissed reports that he has agreed deal to join Italian giants Napoli this summer.

Before Covid-19 stopped the League in France, Victor Osimhen was in superb form for the side scoring good goals which makes him a target for top European sides.

This led to some reports that the Super Eagles star has agreed to join Napoli this summer in which the player himself has now responded.

Victor Osimhen explained that he has not agreed any deal with any club stressing that he would have made it known if he had done that.

“The news relating to my agreement with Napoli is false. I am surprised by these journalists who claim to be professionals.

Osimhen joined Lille before the start of the 2019/20 season in Europe as replacement for Nicolas Pepe who has joined Arsenal in a big move.

And since he joined Lille, the club chiefs have not regretted spending money on his transfer as Osimhen has been impressive.

So far this term, Victor Osimhen has scored 18 goals for Lille in all competitions including two in the Champions League.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Victor Osimhen's morale to continue playing at the highest level of his game has been boosted after being voted as Lille's best player for the year of 2020.
