Liverpool are the most favourite British team in football according to a poll conducted by YouGov.
The soon to be crowned Premier League champions won 8.3 per cent of the votes from the general public among 16 clubs with their fiercest rivals Man United coming in second place.
According to YouGov, many factors were put into consideration including; clubs' management, players, fan culture, traditions and style of play before conducting the poll.

Supporters were also quizzed about which team they would likely watch on television and the results were filtered across age, gender, income, region, social grade and much more.
Jurgen Klopp's men were able to combine all the parameters put in place to beat other clubs across their fanbase.
Liverpool's rise to the top of the game in the last few years and a recent Champions League win with the incoming league title, have won them a huge fanbase all over the world.
Man United gathered just six per cent of the population while Man City, Newcastle, Wolves and Chelsea came third, fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
