Guardiola's current deal with Man City expires in the summer of 2021 but there's no plan to further extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium.

However, SunSport claims the former midfielder has been linked with two South American countries; Argentina and Brazil.

Pere, football agent - who has just opened a branch of his Media Base Sports company in Brazil - would not rule it out.

He told Globo Esporte: "Brazil has won everything with Brazilian coaches. "I think you have good coaches, you don't have to have only foreigners.

"Pep has a dream of coaching a national team someday, but we'll see how it goes and whether he will receive an offer. "It is not something for the present."

Guardiola could return to Barcelona after the expiration of his deal next year but the Premier League outfit believes he will stay back and ignore his former club's interests.
