Nollywood actor Chinedu Ikedieze popularly known as Aki has expressed gratitude to former president Goodluck Jonathan for honouring him with a Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR) in 2011.

Aki told The Nations that the MFR honour is one of the greatest surprises he got in his career as an entertainer.

The actor explained that Peace Anyiam-Anyiam-Osigwe, the chief executive of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) informed him of a national award while urging him to submit some vital information in 2010.

Aki said that he didn't think anything of the award until someone informed him that his name was one of those published on a national daily as a recipient of the award.

The actor said he could not believe his eyes when he got a copy of the paper and saw his name on the category of members of the federal republic.

The entertainer expressed gratitude to President Goodluck Jonathan for remembering him as one of the change-makers in the film industry.
