Philippe Coutinho's proposed move of making a return to the Premier League has hit a rock after Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho ruled out his side signing the Brazilian.

Jose Mourinho is said to have turned his backs on signing Philippe Coutinho because he believes his asking wages will cause mutiny among players at Tottenham.

Coutinho is believed to be interested in £200,000-a-week deal for him to make a return to England and this is the amount player like Harry Kane gets at Spurs.

And according to Mundo Deportivo, Jose Mourinho would not want to cause confusion among his players who may also be forced to demand pay rise.

The Brazilian who currently plays for Bayern Munich on loan is on the books of Barcelona and he is expected to leave Germany this summer.

Barcelona on the other hand are said not to be prepared to allow Coutinho return to Camp Nou and want to sell him back to the Premier League.

"The reason for their refusal is simple.

"The Azulgrana midfielder has a crack file and Mourinho does not want comparisons or that the rest of the salaries shoot up,'' Mundo Deportivo explained according to UK Sun.

His next destination could now be Arsenal who are also reported to be interested in the signature of Philippe Coutinho.
