- Odion Ighalo has revealed their new training routine since the long break due to the pandemic
- The 30-year-old striker claims Man United players stay two meters away from each other
- The former Nigerian international recent secured a new six-month extension at Old Trafford
Odion Ighalo has given an insight into how Man United player train amid the social distracting rules.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men will return to action behind closed doors on the backdrop of 11 unbeaten matches in all competitions including nine straight wins.
Ighalo who recently extended his deal for another six months said that the Red Devils are in perfect shape to get things off and running.
But the 30-year-old explained how they train without getting close to each other while they observe social distancing.
“I'm getting better and better every day.
“I'm still working every day and we've been training together the past two weeks now, so it's getting close to the game.
“The sharpness is coming, the fitness is coming and everything is going well.
“It's been strange, you know, because you have to stay two metres apart to talk to your team-mates.
“Sometimes, you need to get close to give them some signs but now it's two metres and it's kind of strange.
“But this is what we have to do for us to be safe and for the game to go on. We're ready to do it and we're happy to do it,” Mirror quoting Ighalo.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Odion Ighalo has reiterated his desire to take Man United higher and higher after securing a six-month loan extension at Old Trafford.
The former Nigerian international's loan move from Chinese Super Leauge side Shanghai Shenhua was due but he will now be staying until January 2021.
It cost the Red Devils £10million to retain the services of the 30-year-old striker who has been in fine form since arriving Manchester.
The former Watford striker has scored four goals in eight matches before the three-month break due to the pandemic.
