- Willian has been linked with a move away from Chelsea this summer
- Los Blancos rejected the chance to sign the Brazilian winger
- The winger wants a three-year deal which Real Madrid won't give
Arsenal have been given the chance to sign Chelsea winger Willian for free this summer after Real Madrid reportedly turned down his three-year asking deal to join Los Blancos.
Willian's contract at Chelsea will be coming to an end this summer and the Blues chiefs and the Brazilian have not agreed on an extension.
And should Chelsea refuse to give him another contract, then it means that the Brazil international will be leaving Stamford Bridge this summer.
According to the report by Mirror, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is a fan of Willian, but the Frenchman does not think that his signing should be main priority.
The main issue that made Real Madrid to turn their backs at Willian is his desire to be seeking for a three-year deal which Chelsea also refused to give him.
"Willian wanted to sign a three-year contract to achieve things he wanted to achieve over the next three years, and see where his career take him from there.
"Chelsea's policy for players over 30 only allows two years, so that's where the stumbling block was,'' Willian's agent told Sky Sports.
As the situation now stands, Arsenal will now have the chance to lure Willian to the Emirates in a deal the Brazilian won't turn down since he wants to remain in London.
