Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress (APC) national leader, has joined teeming Nigerians to seek justice for Vera Uwaila Omozuwa and other victims of sexual violence, saying "all of us are born of a woman and nurtured of woman."

The former Lagos governor made his grievance known about the violence against women in a tweet on Tuesday, June 2, against the backdrop of outrage recently generated.

Tinubu said there is nothing that can defend the wrongdoing, making cases for the death of the trio of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, Tina Ezekiel and Jennifer.

Legit.ng notes that Omozuwa, a 22-year-old aspiring microbiologist at UNIBEN, was murdered in a cold-blooded circumstance after her attackers forcefully had canal knowledge of her inside a church in Edo state.

Tina Ezekiel, a teenager waiting to write her senior school leaving certificate examination, was brutally killed by men of the Nigeria Police Force in Lagos.

On the other hand, an 18-year-old girl simply identified as Jennifer was allegedly gang rap'ed in Narayi, a small community in Kaduna South local government area, by five boys suspected to be her friends.

The atrocities against them have since sparked outrage on social media with many Nigerians seeking justice for the victims and charging for an end to violence against women.

Granting his voice, Tinubu said: "I rise in solidarity with women in Nigeria to say #enoughisenough."

"For far too long women and young girls in our nation have suffered the pain, hurt and stigma of gender-based violence and abuse. Too many have been hurt, intimidated and bullied. Too many have died. Such violence is inexcusable. There is nothing that can defend this wrongdoing.
