Football fraternities have been thrown into mourning in Europe following the death of former Polish footballer Piotr Rocki who died at the age of 46 after suffering rupture.
According to the report on UK Sun, Piotr Rocki was reported to have been in coma in the hospital last Sunday before he lost the battle in the mid night of Monday, June 1.
Ruch Radzionkow who are one of his former clubs expressed their sadness to the demise of their ex-footballer describing his death as a shock one.
Piotr Rocki played for Ruch Radzionkow from 2010 to 2012 before he left the club.
During his illustrious career, Piotr Rocki played 291 games in the Polish Premier League scoring 44 goals in the process.
He played for a long-list of clubs including Gorbik Zabrze, Odra Wodzislaw Slaski, Legia Warsaw, GKS Tychy and Kolejarz Stroze.
While playing for Legia Warsaw, Piotr Rocki also won the Polish Super Cup in the year 2008 before he left the side.
In total, Piotr Rocki played for 19 clubs before his playing career came to an end.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Nigerian National League side Bendel Insurance announced the shocking death of their goalkeeper Umar Ahmad Jalingo who died in Gombe after a brief illness.
Before his untimely death, Umar Jalingo was hospitalized at the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe, where he was treated after serious illness.
And since the National League and football in general in Nigeria have been suspended due to Covid-19, Umar Jalingo had the chance to treat himself at the hospital.
He later got better in the hospital in which the doctors who examined him discharged the goalkeeper on Wednesday, May 27, as his family members were happy.
Unfortunately, Umar Ahmad Jalingo died 24 hours later after failure to wake up from his sleep throwing his family and football fraternities in Nigeria into mourning.
According to the release made by Bendel Insurance media officer Kehinde Osagiede, the club described the death of Umar Jalingo as a great loss.
